At Greenleaf House all our psychological services are included in the cost of the child’s placement. The young people in our care benefit from in house psychological support. Where assessed as appropriate the children can also engage in therapy with Sharron Reilly, Head of Psychology.

Greenleaf Psychologist Sharron Reilly is our Head of Psychology, providing in-house psychological support to each of our young people together with a team of Assistant Psychologists. Assessment and Formulation Each young person will have an assessment and formulation completed which will provide evidence of their needs and risks, which will be populated in their care plans and risk management plans. We offer: Psychological assessments
• Trauma, mental health, social and emotional development.
• Cognitive functioning, executive functioning, adaptive functioning, memory.
• Resilience.
• Forensic psychological risk assessment (high risk of harm to self or others). Psychological interventions Hourly 1:1 therapy (type as indicated by Formulation) (CBT, TF-CBT, CFT, SFT, MBCT, ACT, MI), which begins with psychoeducation / rapport building for young people and team to stabilise placement (approx. 12 – 18 sessions) while assessment and formulation is completed.

Change For Good – a programme which addresses criminogenic needs underpinning harmful sexual behaviour (40 hours, plus approx. 12 for safe space)

VINTOC (Violence is not the only Choice) – a programme which addresses criminogenic needs that underpin the use of instrumental and reactive violence (20 sessions, plus approx. 12 for safe space. Mellow Ready - 12 sessions exploring healthy relationships and identity. Seasons for growth - 8 sessions managing separation and loss. Zones of regulation - 18 sessions for teaching emotional regulation skills
